Meet Rachel Sherfield
Rachel is the author and illustrator of Mrs Blossom and Sniffy (the dog that was a little bit whiffy!) and Sidney (the gecko that didn’t like the sun!).
Rachel has worked extensively in schools in the Buckinghamshire area, delivering fun and engaging storytime and craft workshops to children, between the ages of 4 and 8 years old. Children are treated to an interactive story bag and get to meet the knitted versions of Mrs Blossom and Sniffy and Sidney the Gecko.

Rachel’s craft workshops, which accompany the storytime sessions, enable children to experiment with pattern, colour and layout. Children are able to create their own Mrs Blossom and Sniffy or Sidney collages, using templates provided and their own crayon rubbings.

Rachel also delivers workshops on ‘How to draw a cartoon character’, to children between the ages of 8 and 11 years. She provides the listener with information about her professional background, the developmental stages of her cartoon characters and the key principals of drawing a simple cartoon animal or person.
If you would like more information about the workshops that Rachel provides then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
